Reusable IoT Pallet Supplier Recognized for RM2 ELIoT® Embedded Traceability Technology

Orlando, FL, December 21, 2021 – Food Logistics, the only publication exclusively dedicated to covering the movement of product through the global food supply chain, has named RM2 to its 2021 Top Software & Technology Providers award. This annual award honors software and technology providers that ensure a safe, efficient and reliable global food and beverage supply chain.

RM2 launched the smart pallet revolution by embedding autonomous IoT sensor technology in its logistically optimized, hygienic BLOCKPal™ reusable pallets. This technology, called RM2 ELIoT (End-to-End Logistics Intelligence Optimization and Tracking Technology) offers food, beverage and other perishable supply chains unprecedented visibility and real-time monitoring of product location, temperature, shock events and chain of custody. RM2’s pallets are made of a non-wood composite material that is lightweight yet stronger pound-for-pound than structural steel. This non-porous, hygienic material is also tolerant of extreme temperatures (from -40° F to 176° F) making it ideal for food supply chains and even ultra-low temperature pharmaceutical cold chains.

“We are honored to be recognized by Food Logistics once again for our BLOCKPal pallets and RM2 ELIoT technology,” commented Kevin Mazula, CEO of RM2. “As perishable supply chains seek higher performance, reliable, logistically-efficient pallets and real-time temperature tracking, our IoT pallets stand ready to meet these demands.”

“Software developments and emerging technologies are what make the world go ‘round. They’re what make supply chains move, even when the world stops. They’re what keeps people, products and plants safe. They provide traceability, visibility, efficiency and credibility. And, the winners from this year’s award prove that there are no limitations to what software and technology can do in the supply chain space,” says Marina Mayer, Editor-in-Chief of Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive.

Recipients of this year’s award will be profiled in Food Logistics’ Nov/Dec 2021 print issue. Go to www.FoodLogistics.com to view the full list of Top Software & Technology Providers.

About RM2
RM2 launched the smart reusable pallet revolution by embedding autonomous IoT sensor technology in its logistically optimized, hygienic BLOCKPal™ composite pallets. IoT sensor data are transmitted to the cloud via the LTE-M network, making visible the pallet’s location and condition both indoors and in transit without requiring any additional hardware or IT development or training. RM2’s End-to-end Logistics Intelligence Optimization and Tracking (RM2 ELIoT) technology – the Company’s cloud-based supply chain intelligence platform – captures and contextualizes location, temperature, shock and event data, giving customers end-to-end supply chain visibility and clear, actionable insights in real time. RM2 issues, retrieves and sanitizes more than 1.5 million reusable IoT pallets annually through a nationwide network of over 30 service facilities in a cost-effective, scalable and environmentally sustainable pallet pooling system.
