RM2 is positioning for major growth to meet surging demand for the company’s BLOCKPal pallets – hygienic, composite-based IoT pallets. BLOCKPal’s RM2 ELIoT® technology transmits in real-time valuable data points on the location, temperature and condition of products on BLOCKPals. Despite ongoing global supply chain backlogs for everything from raw materials to electronic components, RM2 is ramping up to achieve record production levels month after month.
Keeping up with unprecedented customer demand for its pallets in the current environment requires RM2 to successfully execute a three-pronged strategy of continued expansion of manufacturing capacity, supply base diversification, and strong, collaborative supplier partnerships.
“We’ve had to become extremely agile with our suppliers,” commented Jim Bedford, Head of Supply Chain for RM2, “It’s a constant evolution of the supplier base, developing new relationships and strengthening existing strategic partnerships to ensure supply keeps up with our demand.”
The same innovative culture which has enabled RM2’s success with both its BLOCKPal pallet and the sophisticated RM2 ELIoT technology which is integrated into each pallet is proving vital to ensuring production keeps pace with market demand. “Together with our suppliers, we’re strategically re-engineering our logistics network to better suit current raw material flows,” continued Bedford, “Today’s supply chain challenges can only be overcome through mutual transparency and flexibility.”
